Mission Statement
Edge Hill University will provide an intellectually stimulating, creative and inclusive
environment for its community. Teaching and learning of the highest standard,
supported by pure and applied research of international significance, will provide a firm
foundation for its graduates and other stakeholders in a rapidly changing world.
Knowledge and understanding, a global perspective, and a life-long capacity to learn
and adapt are the surest ways of securing the individual’s and the nation’s future.
Enhancing student employability is central to the University strategy. We recognise that a life-long capacity to learn and adapt is key to success for individuals, employers and society as a whole. The majority of our programmes lead to professional qualification, accreditation or endorsement in addition to an academic award. Placements, work experience and study abroad are widely available in all Faculties, and our excellent links with employers mean that students have many opportunities to enhance their employability while they study.
Edge Hill is one of the top public universities in the country for graduate employment 95.8% of students employed or in further study within 15 months of graduating (Graduate Outcomes 2017/18).
