University of Winchester
About us

Located just an hour from London, Winchester is a bright, beautiful, and buzzing city. Our state-of-the-art facilities, community feel, and lively Student Union make the University of Winchester a place you can succeed both personally and academically.

We support our students in their journey towards a successful career and empower them to make positive changes in the world. We offer a wide spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across Business, Education, Humanities, Law, and Nursing, alongside our suite of Degree Apprenticeships.

We’re proud of the facilities we can offer students coming to Winchester. For example, all our criminology and forensic science students have access to a dedicated laboratory technician and our Crime Scene House. At the House, students can undertake crime scene photography, packaging of evidence, and Blood Pattern Analysis. Also, students in our health and wellbeing faculty can now gain real-life experience from the get-go, thanks to our partnership with Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. That means that if you study nursing or physiotherapy, for example, you could get a placement in one of our local hospitals.

Winchester provides the perfect launchpad for future careers. Each course is constructed with employment in mind, including working on real projects and learning from industry experts. We strive to help make students’ passions a career. This is evident with the University of Winchester being Top 10 in the UK for graduates in employment and/or further study. Our original mission – to educate, advance knowledge and serve the common good – remains the same today, guided by our reimagined values; the love of learning, Individual and shared endeavour and making a difference.
